As with many other things these days, new construction
quality can be compromised by the need for speed, cost-savings,
and unskilled workmanship.
In buildings just 2 or 3 years old, brick veneer constructed
houses or commercial buildings can be plagued by water entering
the building through the improper use of flashing, poor
sealing materials, incorrectly designed venting and gaps
in expansion joints, at chimneys or windows.
With construction being undertaken in all types of weather
and at any time of year, mortar may have tiny cracks and
holesor even serious degradation. Lintels may be installed
unpainted allowing both rust-staining and rust deterioration.
A.M.1 can inspect your home or building and design a repair
plan that will most effectively solve the problem. Tuckpointing,
waterproofing or caulking may be used to correct the problems
left by the builder. We can add the finishing touches needed
to keep your home or building in top condition.
